Lauren Huffman is a certified family nurse practitioner. With a clearly defined vision for her life’s work, she earned her bachelor’s in nursing, her master’s in nursing and her doctorate in nursing practice from Regis University in Denver. As a nurse practitioner, Lauren is an advanced practice clinician and one of the team of primary care providers at St. Vincent Family Health Center.
Growing up in Buena Vista, Lauren has a deeply held commitment to giving back. “I’m excited to serve the community I grew up in,” she says. “My goal is to work alongside my patients. Practicing primary care gives me a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the overall health of the community because I get to see families and patients throughout their lifetime.”
What’s her patient care philosophy?
“I’m devoted to excellent, evidence-based practice in medicine,” says Lauren. “I feel so lucky to be able to serve Lake County in this way.”
In her leisure time, Lauren works in the garden on the small ranch she shares with her husband, four dogs, pigs and cows. She also loves to fish and hike.
