St. Vincent Health

Looking toward the future, St. Vincent General Hospital District has embraced the concept of a health campus where specialists, primary care, Lake County Public Health Agency, and other health-related offices reside in the old hospital building and synergistically complement services in the adjacent, new hospital facility.

Leadville, Twin Lakes and Lake County, Colorado now have more behavioral health resources than ever before. St. Vincent Health recently welcomed psychotherapist, Lyndsey Ryan as Director of St. Vincent Behavioral Health, a new service opened in August, 2022.

Lyndsey Ryan LPC, LAC, ACS, was the owner and executive director of Integrating Insights, a behavioral health organization in Boulder County, Colorado. After meeting earlier this year, both Ryan and St. Vincent Health CEO, Brett Antczak recognized the opportunity to serve Leadville and Lake County more fully, and recently merged the two organizations.

As the Director of Behavioral Health at St. Vincent, Lyndsey will continue to oversee the Boulder County offices in Longmont and Boulder, and grow behavioral health services in Leadville, Lake County and throughout Colorado.

A partnership focused on empowering therapists to do the work they are trained to do.

Integrating Insight’s 28 therapists, administration staff and approximately 29 graduate students have also joined St. Vincent Behavioral Health. Though most clients currently access behavioral health services through telehealth appointments, in-person appointments are available depending on the therapist’s location and availability.

Integrating Insights experienced nearly 400% growth due to the pandemic in 2020 and 2021. Lyndsey, the administrative staff and team of mental health providers responded daily to the wide-reaching effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. These effects included increases in suicidal ideations, self-harm, substance abuse, domestic violence, child abuse and neglect; plus insecurities in basic human needs such as housing, money and food.

While operating at such a high level to help people respond to the pandemic, it became very clear that the team at Integrating Insights would benefit from additional administrative support. With St. Vincent Health, Lyndsey found an administrative partner who supports the therapists to do the work they are trained to do and focus on empowering the people they serve.
