David Cimino is a doctor of physical therapy and the PT department manager. He offers traditional therapies and strategies for injury prevention, general physical conditioning and fitness, and new and emerging treatments, too. He has specialty experience and training in sports clinical PT, strength and conditioning, and functional dry needling.
Dave earned his doctor of physical therapy degree from Northeastern University in Boston. He was raised in New York but his passion for the outdoors led him to Colorado nearly a decade ago.
Dave has always valued an active lifestyle and his care philosophy is to enable individuals to stay active as long as they’d like. He loves to work one-on-one with his patients, and values the opportunity to assist people in improving their quality of life.
“I feel it is my role to be a patient advocate, teach patients to advocate for themselves, and provide a supportive environment,” says Dave. “I’d like St. Vincent Health to grow as a place that people come to not because they are sick, but because they hope to remain healthy.”
In Dave’s leisure time he is likely outdoors alpine or backcountry skiing, mountain biking, hiking with his dog Hootie, or playing hockey. He’s also an avid follower of televised sports.
